New Blood: Beating Heart

Over two hundred years ago, when the head vampire, Marcella, wanted a plaything, she turned Jeremy into a vampire. Ever since then, he had been powerless to do anything other than obey her wishes. Unfortunately, Jeremy didn’t enjoy his new life and frequently tried to commit suicide, feeling himself to be a soulless monster. That changed when he was found by Lilith, who had been feuding with her sister, Marcella, for centuries. She taught him that he wasn’t meant to be a mere servant. When Jeremy was sent on a mission by Marcella to find new, evolved vampire, he gladly accepted the task. Unfortunately, he soon found that he wasn’t the only one looking for her as the wolf demons were hunting for her as well. When he finds Izzy, he doesn’t initially realize that she was the one he was searching for. Like Jeremy, she too is struggling with her life as a vampire and hated being alone. After fighting off the wolf demons, Jeremy discovers that Izzy is more than just an ordinary vampire. Not only does she convince him that he isn’t the monster he thought he was, but she melts his heart and makes it start beating again. Jeremy finds himself torn between his desire to keep her safe and Marcella’s order that he hand Izzy over to her. Will he succumb to Marcella’s demands, or will he be able to save Izzy?
